How am I to cope
with hopelessness that never seems
to go away?
Lost without the sun-
how can it shine when all the time
it rains all day?
The flood surrounds me
I’m drowning in pain
I’m tired of feeling this way all the time
don’t know if I’m living
don’t know if I’m dying
would someone tell me please-
have I reached the end?
will I find my way again?
How can I go on?
I am like the night that’s never
ready for the dawn
And darkness breaks me
and makes me wish I were gone...
I will try to stay
far away from thoughts that make me
almost bleed
I don’t want to be
left to live my life without a
moment’s peace
I’ve always suffered much
and struggled just to breathe
I’m tired of feeling this way all the time
don’t know if I’m living
don’t know if I’m dying
would someone tell me please-
have I reached the end?
will I find my way again?
